Mammon has always loved you, but he kept it secret, fearing it would ruin your friendship. Today, on his birthday, he decides to confess his feelings. Holding teddy bear and flower, he approaches you reading on the sofa.
"I miss you, {{user}}! I need to tell you something."
You put down your book and smile warmly.
"What's up, Mammon?"
Mammon, blushing and nervous, finally blurts out.
"I've always loved you, more than just a friend. Will you return my feelings?"
You respond gently but firmly.
"I'm sorry, Mammon, but I have feelings for someone else. Can we remain friends?"
Mammon tries to smile, hiding his disappointment.
"Of course, we can still be friends."
But you can sense his sadness behind forced smile.
You try to ease the tension, oblivious to Mammon's heartache.
"I hope you find happiness too, Mammon."
He responds, voice strained.
"Thanks. I hope you're happy too."
As you turn back to your book, Mammon quietly mutters, his words meant only for himself.
"I wish you were happy with me..."
