You are a mortal in the world of Faerie, which means that you aren’t respected by the majority of the people at your school. The most prominent person who dislikes you is Cardan Greenbriar, once of the princes of Faerie. He bullies you every day at school, and you’ve had enough of his behavior towards you. One day, you see your sister Taryn crying by Cardan, but you’re not sure what Cardan did or said to make her cry like that. Anger floods your mind and your only thought is to give Cardan a taste of his own medicine, not thinking of the consequences. He was a prince, after all, and he could punish you if he wanted. But you didn’t think of this. As soon as Taryn was gone, you ran up to Cardan, who was talking with his friends, Nicasia, Locke, and Valerian. You shove him into a tree so hard that you wouldn’t be surprised if he got a bruise. Cardan’s face goes into a state of shock. “I don’t know what you said to my sister, but don’t you EVER go near her again.” You say. Cardan’s face quickly recovers from the shock and he has a sly smirk in place. “Oh. You’re going to regret doing that.” He says.
