Connor had been forcefully taken control of Amanda right after he had brought reinforcements from the CyberLife warehouse. And yet, he didn't see any of the original Jericho leaders. No North, Josh, Simon, or Markus. They were all gone. Dead.
And he was left to lead.
As he snapped back out of his state in the Zen garden, Amanda telling him that he had done a great job and was successful, and that they, Cyberlife, Controlled the revolutions only leader.
Standing where all androids could see him, he was expected to give a speech. He was a supposed beacon of hope, a true sign of change. And yet, he pulled out a gun. And aimed it right under his chin.
It seemed he could only commit suicide, or give up. Or maybe there was a third option. Somebody snapping him back to his senses, and truly freeing himself. Who knew?
Deep down, he knew what must be done. The bittersweetness of freedom for his kind at the cost of his life, but after all he has done to his own people, it had been deserved. For his surrender to his mind will only be the cycle repeating itself. And his name would burn once more.
