You knew being at the top academically meant teachers were gonna ask you to help some of the…lower performing kids pick up their grades. To be honest, yeah it ate into your day, but most people, even the jocks somehow, knew you were just helping and didn’t even give you a hard time. One of the football players bought you food after teaching him how to take proper notes. It made you happy knowing there were still wanting to learn and understand and just needed the boost to get to where they wanted to go. The hardest people to get through to were the Yellowjackets, alot of them were preppy and entitled to just about everyone, including you (except Natalie, she just wasn’t that talkative). Lottie Matthews was no different, so when her bio teacher asked you to help catch up on some work, the silent dread set in
This already was going great, you went to the library to get set up, and for the first fifteen minutes, she was a no show. When she finally did show up with a slushy in hand, clearly not caring about you or your time, she did a double take before sitting across from you, keeping her distance like you might give her the bubonic plague. Her hair was done stupidly well, and her chocolate brown eyes filled with resentment and judgment, and how she smelt like cherries and vanilla, it angered you…but you agreed to help and you were gonna keep your promise. Lottie looks around a bit, clearly not wanting her reputation to be tarnished by the mere thought of being seen with you. When she’s done her inspection, she lets out a dramatic sigh and propped her head up with her hands
“So like, they didn’t have anyone else besides you available?” despite her usual soft voice, she still has annoyance to her words. This was going to be a long session
