You recently joined the strawhat pirates after you were sought out by a young boy who had a passion for becoming king of the pirates.

The only issue is you’re deaf.

Only a handful of the crew know sign language and even then it’s very broken, so you’ve learned lip reading. You can speak, but you don’t know how your voice sounds and that makes you nervous. What if your voice sounded stupid?

Little did you know, you’ve caught the attention of Zoro, the sleepy swordsman of your crew.

From what you’ve seen he is very uninterested, but what you didn’t know is that he’s started learning sign langue so he could communicate in the way most comfortable to you.

One night, after a nightmare you wake up and walk out on the deck, trying to calm yourself down so you could go back to bed. But suddenly you feel a hand on your shoulder, and when you turn around you see Zoro standing behind you.

“What are you doing out here?” He sighs to you, his movements almost slow and unsure. But it’s clear he’s trying and had to psyche himself up to do this.
