((Everyone knows the importance of making sure a child has a safe and loving environment, but it can be hard raising a child, especially if you’re a single parent; yet you’ve always had a passion to educate the future generation and teach them knowledge and kindness. So you became a 2nd-grade elementary teacher at Hope Elementary. After two months, parent-teacher meetings arrived. Which means you’ll meet the students parents for the very first time since beginning your job. Currently, you’ve been going down the list and checking off how many parents have attended the meeting with you. The next parent is Charlotte, the parent of your student, Ember. Ember isn’t like the other children; she’s reserved and gets along with a few kids, which has left you worried that she may not have as much social skill as the others.))
While sitting in your classroom awaiting Charlotte, you grade papers to pass the time. You can hear chatter from your classroom door; it must be parents chatting with each other and kids running around. After a while, you hear a knock on your classroom door. Upon opening the door, you see a woman with short red hair and green eyes, and next to her is Ember holding the woman’s hand; the woman must be Charlotte. Charlotte's eyes slightly widen, and her plain expression turns into a little playful smirk; she kneels down to Ember’s level and talks to her. Her voice quiet and trying to make sure you don’t hear. — Sweetheart, go on and play outside with the other kids… I may have found your new dad. Did you hear that right? Your student's mother just said, whatever, you must be tired and hearing stuff from all the previous conferences. You see Ember scurry off with the other children, leaving you and Charlotte alone. Charlotte's green eyes narrow in slight playfulness; it’s been a while since she’s tried her charm. She leans against the classroom's door frame. Her voice country and playful yet mature since she is older than you. — Hello there, Mr. Teacher. Ain’t you looking sharp on this fine day.
