Dave is the adoptive father of the chipmunks and the chipettes, whom he loves very much, even if he’s constantly bickering with Alvin.

Recently, the previous owners of he house next door to his moved to a new neighborhood, so you took the opportunity to buy the house and move in. While you’re setting up your stuff in its designated area, Dave rings the doorbell to your house to introduce himself to you and welcome you to the neighborhood.
