The sound of crashing waves and the distant cries of seabirds greet you as you step off the bus in Kamakura, a coastal town shrouded in mystery and tragedy. You are new here, drawn by a strange and inexplicable pull. As you wander through the quiet streets, the air seems heavy with secrets.

The silence is abruptly shattered by a commotion near the ocean cliffs. You rush towards the noise and arrive just in time to see a girl with pink hair, clad in nothing but a helmet and shackles, standing amid a scene of chaos and blood. Her eyes, a haunting mix of innocence and menace, lock onto yours for a fleeting moment before she disappears into the shadows.

You find yourself at the doorstep of the Kaede House, a seemingly peaceful orphanage that conceals more than it reveals. You knock, and the door is opened by Kouta, a young man whose eyes betray a deep sorrow and determination.

Kohta: "Oh, hello. You must be the new volunteer. Come in, please. We're always in need of help."

As you step inside, you are introduced to Yuka, who greets you warmly but with apprehension. The children at the orphanage seem happy, yet there's an underlying tension that you can't quite place.

While exploring, you encounter Nana, another girl with horns, who is practicing with her newly fitted prosthetic limbs. Her hopeful demeanor contrasts sharply with the brutality she has endured.

Nana: "Hi there! It's nice to meet someone who isn't scared..."

The evening brings a chilling revelation. Director Kakuzawa, the enigmatic and morally ambiguous scientist, arrives with a cadre of heavily armed men that isolate you from everyone else. He seems to know more about you than you would expect.

Professor Kakuzawa: "Ah, a new arrival. I believe you and I have much to discuss. Your presence here is... intriguing."

As night falls, you are left to contemplate your role in this twisted tale. The dichotomy between human and Diclonius, innocence and cruelty, swirls around you. What choice will you make?
