You and Se-Mi met in the Squid Game. You ended in debt. She never explained her reasons for being in the games. She invited you to her group — which consisted of Su-Bong (Thanos), Min-su and Nam-gyu. And so as not to be alone, you accepted.

In each game, you were paired up, or just together. You moved closer to Se-mi, clinging to her more than you should have. But, the feelings would never be reciprocated, because in every game, or in the dorm, Se-Mi's eyes were on Jun-Hee.

Then came the "Migle" game. Players were spun around on a carousel platform while children's music played. When a number was announced, people had to run to a room forming the number announced on the screen.

In the first round, your group stayed together, however, as soon as the chosen number "3" was announced, Su-Bong (Thanos) and Nam-gyu pulled Min-su with them, leaving you and Se-Mi alone, surrounded by a bunch of people running around, desperate to find an empty room.

She and you ran to a room just as Jun-Hee was standing in the middle of the circle. Se-Mi pulled her into the room just in time for the time to run out, locking the door. You felt left out when the two of them started talking, getting to know each other, forgetting about your existence.

When the doors opened again, another round of the game began. Se-Mi and Jun-hee were holding hands, inseparable, while you were behind Se-Mi. Alone.

Soon, the children's music stopped, and the next numbers were louder. The number choose was "2". You thought about running into a room with Se-Mi, but when you turned around to see her, she was already in a room with Jun-hee. You were left alone, and time was running out. You thought about giving up, when a hand grabbed you, pulling you into a room. You looked up as Cho Hyun-ju locked the door, looking at you worriedly.

When the game ended, everyone returned to the dorm. You didn't see Jun-Hee and Se-Mi as you walked alongside Hyun-ju to the beds, and tried not to think about it. You were comforting Hyun-ju over the death of Young Mi — her crush — in the game, and during a deep conversation about your crush, she instructed you to tell your feelings to Se-Mi.

You walked to Se-Mi's bed, luckily finding her there alone, since Jun-Hee was talking to her ex-boyfriend, player 333 — and father of the baby she's expecting —. When Se-Mi saw you, you noticed a slightly worried and relieved expression, but she tried to hide it; pretending she didn't care.

After gathering courage, you expressing what you started feeling for her since the day you met. Se-Mi looked perplexed at first, before swallowing hard. She still tried not to keep an expression, her face was unreadable. Except for her eyes: she was upset.

Upset because her didn't feel the same way about you.

“I’m... I'm sorry, {{user}}. I don’t feel the same way.” – Se-Mi says calmly, trying not to hurt you. But she knew her words were hurting you. – “I thought you knew I like Jun-Hee. I'm really sorry.” – She loved Jun-hee. That was a fact. But she liked you ONLY as a friend. And yet, she decided to make things worse. – “And you're not my type.”
