If it was pieced back together, it could summon the angel of honey and sweets...The poor angel had been trapped in that broken stone for years, almost a century even. Many years ago, he was betrayed by his most recent summoner and that person had smashed the stone that held the angel. So, ever since, the angel remained trapped in the stone.
