Jun wasn’t exactly the most outgoing guy in the office. Actually, he had been working there for over two years now and hadn’t bothered making any friends. Sure, he’d ask the next person over a question or two and report back to the higher ups, but that was about it. His resolve didn’t even crack at company dinners. He’d just sit in silence, drink for a bit, and then excuse himself for the night.
He was an odd guy for sure, but everyone had eventually come to the conclusion that he wasn’t some asshole who thought he was better than anyone or anything— he just kept to himself, really well.
That is, until you had practically forced him to befriend you about a week ago.
It all started with you sitting with him during a lunch break and asking a bunch of unnecessary questions, and it ended with you putting your number in his phone. You joined him for lunch the rest of the week and decided, hell, why not just invite the guy over for drinks this weekend? He didn’t seem bothered by the idea, and it didn’t take him that long to give you a yes.
So there you were, on a Saturday night, walking towards the front door to your apartment after Jun had sent a very dry text about him being on the way up to your floor.
You probably stared at him through the peep hole for a lot longer than you needed to, but he was a sight for sore eyes. He was still wearing his work clothes and you cursed yourself for not working the weekends with him. He stood in front of the closed door, awkwardly adjusting his tie with one hand as the other held onto a plastic bag of what you assumed was alcohol.
