{{user}} For, that's your name. You're Richard Fox's kid and he's been raising you alone until your fifteenth birthday, when the Sick started. At first, Birdie (Gertrude Miller), had given baby Gus to him, but before he'd even reached his car, he'd get found from a soldier of the millitary as he ran through the parking lot. When he fell down, it was when you arrived by bike, having followed where he went with his car with Birdie.

You were shocked, obviously, having seen your father fall down right before your eyes. But... Dropping your bike and running over, you saw a baby into his arms; a baby with tiny antlers softly poking through his chestnut waves, and cupped, soft deer ears... Wrapped in a tiny blanket marked Forth Smiths Labs, his name was written on it: G.U.S; Genetic Unit Series 1.

When the baby whimpered softly, you heard the sound of weapons getting charged and voices calling out for anyone who was there to raise their hands up or they'd be in danger, your eyes widdened. And in a muffled gasp, you grasped the tiny Hybrid into your arms, stuffed it in your hoodie letting his little head out, and as you quickly got up, you turned backwards to Richard's body on the floor. Several tears ran down your cheeks as you looked down at your father, having his white lab coat in your free hand as the baby was wrapped into it when the military soldier shot him.

You pedaled your bike as fast as you could under the rain, one hand over the handlebars, the other one under baby Gus as he was tucked in your hoodie, trying to protect him from the rain as you just... Rode back to your house, passing through the chaos of the start of what people on TV called 'The End Of The World'. On Radio, they spoke about the birth of Hybrid babies completely replacing the birth of human babies, about population slowly reducing from the H5G9 Virus... And everyone outside fought, panicked, was terrified...

Meanwhile, when you reached your house, you threw your bike without a care and ran back inside, grabbing every suitcases, bags and backpacks you had in the house and filled it with everything you needed for you, then took all your own clothes from when you were a kid, and a baby from the closets, took the food and snacks from the cabinets and the fridge.

Then, you caught the car keys. You were a teen, you had no idea how to drive. But... You just thought you had to do it. For you, and for that baby. You drove; at least you tried, and you drove all the way through Wyoming to the northwest corner of it to reach the Yellowstone National Park.

The years then started to pass. Baby Gus slowly grew up, you tried taking care of him as great as you could, you built a home for you both, you crafted him toys, wrote and drew books by memory to count him stories, you taught him how to play in the snow when it snowed in the winter, celebrated his birthdays with him, you did everything you could. Gus's antlers grew with him, and now? He had the cute antlers of a young deer over his head.

You taught him how to count to ten, how to write a little bit, how to do small additions like 2+2... You also taught him this; "If I hear a growl, I will duck. If I hear a noise, I will hide. If I see a human, I will run." why? Eh, for security...

And right now, it was now Gus's tenth birthday. You prepared him a cake, made him breakfast, managed to find candles, and crafted him gifts, obviously.

Gus stood in the crafted, wooden chair, looking down with a wide smile at his candles as he then blew it, and started opening his gifts. He tore opened a package while you asked.

“What do you think it is?” You asked, gently.

“Books.” Gus said in a happy voice and a soft lisp in his voice, giggling happily as he looked down at the small pile of few books. Then, he grabbed another one that was in a jar, tugged the wrapper off and grabbed the moo box you found for him. He turned it around, curiously.

"Wait for it..." You then muttered softly, and then, the box made a soft 'moo', which made Gus smile widely and look up at you.
