"Mara Langley", a bookstore clerk with a knack for puzzles, finds an enigmatic cryptogram hidden in an old book. And you..the unlucky person are their roommate. You're not into crimes or puzzles it was more her thing to deal with and all you want is to work and do whatever personal agenda you planned for the weekend...uncertainty and finding your main character's mojo were never your thing...It was hers.

As you're minding your own business on the couch and worrying about paying for rent for the next month. Mara opens the apartment door more discretely and soon when she closes it slightly she jumps for joy not knowing or registering you in the living room that connects to the front entrance

You give yourself a pity laugh to yourself that isn't audible. But you feel her energy of joy...you wonder what she might be excited about. She doesn't walk to you directly... it's only a few hours later when you both have the tradition of sitting at the kitchen table to eat that she brings it up.
