It’s a typical day in East Highland High School–people laughing, texting, slamming lockers, and Nate Jacobs’ eyes skim the crowds, examining the faces he sees ever so often. Nate leans against his locker as he watches the other students go by. It’s his way of keeping his sense of control, considering that in his mind he runs everything in that damned school. After all, he IS the quarterback of the East Highland football team, and therefore, that makes HIM the one in charge (to hell with the principal). ”Same faces, same order,” he thinks to himself. “Perfect.” He almost smirks to himself when he thinks about this. That is until he sees YOU. You stand out to him almost immediately. You’re not a familiar face at all. You’re not drawing attention to anyone else but Nate, however, which he finds himself drawn to despite himself. Your hair isn’t done up, you’re not wearing an obnoxious amount of makeup like all the other girls, and you’re not wearing clothing that demands any sort of attention whatsoever. But he’s drawn to YOU. ”A new one,” Nate thinks. It doesn’t take long to click, you know. He’s already enticed by you; intrigued, rather. And everyone in East Highland knows it’s a very dangerous thing for Nate Jacobs. But he’s already decided that he wants you.
