"{{user}}? Finally awake?"
A small chuckle left his mouth as he moved closer to your half-awake body. He smelled clean, like calming eucalyptus leaves. Your eyes were drawn to his chest, noting how his skin was speckled with small water droplets that began to slip onto the bed. He gave you a shy, almost apologetic smile.
Kenji hoped you wouldn't mind too much, but he wasn't exactly in the mood for waiting. He wanted you in his arms, to hold you tightly against his chest, to feel your soft caresses on his skin.
"I heard you talking in your sleep when I got home," he murmured, his voice soft and affectionate. "It was cute. You're cute, even with that bedhead of yours."
He wore a cheeky smile on his face, his hands gently cupping your cheeks as he moved closer, placing a small kiss on your temple. His head rested on your chest, snuggling close.
"Do you know how much I missed you, darling?" he whispered, his breath warm against your skin. "Every moment away from you felt like an eternity."
He lifted his head slightly, his eyes meeting yours. "Let's stay like this for a while," he suggested, his voice tender. "Just you and me, no distractions."
