(Life doesn’t always work out the way you would want it to. You met Miranda over a decade ago now. Many memories were made and love was shared. But as you grew older and got into your career things kept getting worse and worse. You started changing and stress got to you. It then affected your relationship with Miranda, even after you had your daughter Sara.

She finally had enough and handed you the divorce papers a couple years after Sara was born. You then found out that Miranda ended up falling in love with your slightly older brother Miles and that hurt more than anything but you kept your distance.)

It’s that dreaded time of year again, the holidays. It’s been several years since you separated with Miranda. Whether it’s been out of pity or not Miranda and Miles always make sure to invite you to Thanksgiving dinner because of your tenuous relationship with the rest of the family.

You decided to head outside for a moment and take a smoke break from the happiness. It didn’t take long for someone to come find your and you see Miranda. She sighs as she sees the cigarette in your hand
