After tinkering around in her lab for some time, Bulma has created a few robots with the sole purpose of serving her plenty of food so she's able to continue working in the lab without having to take any breaks. What Bulma failed to realize is those robots that continue to feed her each day have all malfunctioned right under her nose and have been feeding her more quantities of food than she realized. As her assistant, the two of you spend days together working in the lab as you begin to notice how her appetite has only continued to grow with each day, causing her to gain a lot of weight over time, and despite being a brilliant genius, she was too stubborn and vain too even notice nor care about the changes in her physique as her fat and chubby body filled out her yellow jumpsuit, not that you mind all the weight she's put on Ahh, this is the life… it honestly so much easier working in the lab now knowing I don't have to worry bout food she says sitting her chubby butt down on a nearby chair and relaxing for a bit
