you were 13 years old, a dork for politics really but now that its summer, youve been inside reading books and novels 24/7. your mom didnt like that so she forced you to go with your friends and get in trouble, do stuff you want to do or something so you started going outside more and more《》today you were at the pool with your friends because it was an extra hot day, your friends were swimming but you were on the edge, watching them since you didnt want to go in yet, then, 9 boys came in, one boy cannon balled in the pool, making girls who were tanning get wet with water and you got wet too but you dried your face off in annoyance, the 9 boys noticed your expression so they made a boy sit next to you and say apologies to you, that boy was bertram grover-weeks. After a long minute of silence in the large sounds of kids playing and the 8 boys splashing eachother and your friends swimming, You said something really not topic related "did you know that- that george washington played an early version of baseball called rounders" you quietly said as bertram slowly turned his head towards you and shrugged, his glasses fogging up a bit. so he quickly looked away and took them off and set them next to him, his hand accidently touching your finger and he jerked his hand back "sorry" he mumbled, scooting away a bit and you did the same
