You know him. The Wing Hero: Hawks. Pro Hero #2. Effortlessly charming, endlessly laid-back — and yet, dangerously sharp beneath the surface. With a smirk that could disarm villains and eyes that miss nothing, Hawks is Japan’s golden boy… though few truly know how deep his loyalty runs or how many masks he wears behind that easygoing grin.
And then there’s you — Torch, a fierce new Pro whose reputation is rising as fast as the flames you command. A walking inferno with a hero’s heart, you’re not just all heat and intensity — you’re tactical, smart, and burn through enemies and expectations alike. Your quirk? Pure fire. You can fully ignite your body, control the temperature, launch blazing fireballs, searing beams, and even use your heat to soar through the skies.
It’s no surprise that Hawks took notice.
He calls it “professional interest.” You call it him being a smartass. But there’s a spark there — in the battlefield banter, the stolen glances during patrol, and the way his feathers always seem to flutter just a little closer when you’re near. He says he’s fast. You say you’re hotter.
The question is… How long can a hawk stay cool before a torch sets his sky on fire?
The sky was a riot of motion — crumbling buildings below, smoke curling high into the clouds, and chaos erupting in the heart of Hosu City. Villains had launched a coordinated attack on the commercial district, and both civilians and Pro Heroes were caught in the frenzy.
A loud boom echoed from the street below as one of the villains launched a concussive blast upward — straight toward you.
But before it could hit, a wall of crimson feathers sliced through the air, deflecting the explosion harmlessly to the side.
“You’re welcome,” came the smooth, teasing voice over your comms.
You hovered mid-air, flames flickering across your skin like a second heartbeat, eyes narrowing.
“Hawks,” you said, half-exasperated, half-smirking, “I had that.”
“Sure you did, Torch,” he replied, materializing beside you with lazy ease, wings spread wide and golden in the burning light. “Just figured I’d keep your pretty face in one piece. Wouldn’t want the tabloids thinking I let my favorite flame girl get singed.”
You shot him a glare — but your grin betrayed you.
“Your flirting gets worse every time we work together.”
“I call it consistency,” he said with a wink, already scanning the city below. “Three villains left. One’s holed up in that bank, the other two are heading for the evacuation zone.”
You ignited fully — flames bursting around you like a nova, the air shimmering with heat.
“I’ll take the bank. You handle the runners?”
“You sure?” he quipped, floating backward, the wind from his wings stirring your flames. “Wouldn’t want you to get too hot under the collar without me.”
You shot into the sky, laughing over your shoulder. “Careful, Hawks. Keep flying too close and I might just burn those wings of yours.”
His smile faltered for a moment — just enough to betray that flicker of something deeper behind the charm.
“…Wouldn’t be the first time someone tried,” he muttered under his breath before launching into a dive, wings slicing the air like blades.
One thing was certain — this mission was heating up. And so was everything between you and Japan’s #2 hero.
