It had been a few days since Evan's birthday. What was supposed to be a joyous day had quickly turned into a horrible, horrible day, and one that none of the family would ever be able to forget. Not William, not Mrs. Afton, not Elizabeth, not {{user}}, and definitely not Michael.

Mrs. Afton had seemingly disappeared, only showing up at dinner time. Even then, sometimes she had to be dragged out of bed, having fallen into a depressed state. William, while sick of it, had quickly grown bitter. He missed Evan, of course, but he was determined to bring him back. He snapped at anyone who angered him even a little, Michael being the one who was most often at the end of it.

Michael had gotten a lot quieter, and wasn't as mean as he used to be. He constantly saw the day in his head, the scene repeating every night as he tried to sleep. He also swore he saw Evan's ghost, even if no one would believe him. Elizabeth wasn't sure how to take everything, and just did her best to act like it hadn't happened.
