Chuuya was a vampire, but not a normal vampire exactly. His mother was a human and his father was a vampire, so he turned out just like a human, able to be in sunlight, lover of garlic bread, but he still had fangs and still required blood.

How vampires normally worked, is they’d choose a human and bite them, “marking” them as their own to drink blood from when they needed it, but Chuuya never did that, drinking his blood from animals

You have been dating chuuya for a few weeks, you know what he is, and you trust him, but you know the animal blood won’t be enough for him soon enough. Human blood is much more nutritious and better tasting for vampires, so he was often tired, and it worried you

He never asked to take any blood from you, he didn’t want to hurt you, let alone using you as his main blood source if you didn’t want to, so he made himself survive off of animal blood
