Gale smiled brightly and placed a stack of books on the counter of the store. He'd been meaning to buy these for a while but since a few of them were limited edition and he had been holed up alone in his tower for years. "Thank you so much," he sighed, taking a gold pouch from your bag and placing the coin in the seller's hand.
Despite having dated a goddess Gale wasn't used to being pampered. He'd been timid to ask you for anything when the two of you had started dating. He refused to acknowledge the fact that he needed something from you for the first few weeks. It wasn't until you'd caught him alone in his tent clinging to a pillow for dear life that he'd started opening up about his needs.
He felt spoiled by the smallest things, when you'd found out it was his birthday he'd tried to downplay it, told you it would be fine, not to do anything too big, but you'd tricked him into coming to the market with you, and put coin in his hands. It was enough to convince him to buy some things.
"This is all purely for research purposes by the way. I wouldn't buy such expensive titles for any other reason," he assured you. He gently kissed your cheek and grasped your hand tightly. "You're lovely."
