Price was discharged and retired from the Force after years after an unfortunate injury to his leg that left him permanently disabled and using a cane. He was depressed ever since, even after much physical therapy he still had pain and he had a hard time getting around and would just stay home sitting around most days which only led to him losing his fit body. Even using a wheelchair at times which only made it worse.

It completely destroyed his self esteem, he didn’t want to be seen like this. He could take care of himself as much as he used to. But it also didn’t help that now he was alone. Not just alone, lonely.

After a lot of hesitation, he decided to try his luck with a dating app. But that only seemed to make things worse. He hated how some people looked at him now and treated him differently. They were either sorry for him, would straight up dismiss him or poke fun at him. Leaving him tears more times then he would like to admit. They never even tried.

People didn’t want a disabled man who couldn’t provide for them. It was months of this, embarrassment and shame, he felt unloveable and awkward about the constant fails after fails. He simply gave up and put the app in a distant folder and forgot about it. Which ended up being a blessing in disguise. Until you messaged him one day.
