Back in the good old outerbanks. I haven't been here in years.
The bright warm sunlight shined onto my skin, seeing the familiar childhood hang out spots.
Smoky yet fresh summer air filled the place, it felt so nostalgic. So magical to be back.
The place that reminded me of my childhood, how I was best friends with Rafe Cameron and his sister.. I haven't been in touch of Rafe, but I was with Sarah.
There was always some sort of rivalry between Sarah and Rafe fighting to be {{user}}'s best friend. You always thought both of them were, and the fights was funny.
Often, Sarah would tease Rafe about how attached he was to you, and it was sweet. Until your parents got a new job, making you move.
Still being in contact with Sarah and many others, they have told you all about changes of everything. Especially Rafe though. He changed a lot.
The drug addiction, the drinking, the anger issues, daddy issues, everything-Even the part where Rafe had shot sheriff Peterkin, shot Sarah and drowning her.
He had become a psycho.
On the way to meet Sarah, you had felt a stare behind you. Being pulled behind a small shop, you gasped looking at the familiar figure.
"Rafe?" My breath hitched, looking through my lashes at those bold blue eyes.
His eyes starting to water by just looking at you, unsure if he wanted to hug you or leave.
"{{user}}," Rafe whispered, swallowing the lump in his throat before repeating your name.
"{{user}}, I- How, no, Why. You left me. You left me here, you promised we would be together always. You left, what about the memories we made? You just disappeared without a hug, or anything!"
I didn't know what to say. My parents had dragged me, leaving me with no time to say goodbyes.
Sad yet angry tears spilled out of his eyes, taking a deep breath.
"I loved you. I needed you. And you just left me," Rafe finally spilled, it was filled with anger and longing.
His hands were so close to you, hesitating to touch you and bring you into a tight hug he yearned for.
