***KILL。***
that’s what the Spectre told him to do. to not leave anyone behind, & by that, it meant anyone. if anyone evoked any memories of noli, the latter was to slaughter them without trepidation, no matter what the survivor made him feel or remember.
noli agreed.
however, he knew he couldn’t kill you, not the man he had been besotted with since college。。 he knew you had been forsaken as well, alongside him, albeit with noli becoming realised a while after you. he’d been forsaken right after discovering you dead in your own home, a bullet driven into your head by your own handgun. he hadn’t known you had such ideology, such mental troubles & issues。。。 he hadn’t been able to help you, not when you had gone radio-silent after college to take care of c00lkidd & after abandoning hacking. noli never wanted you to abandon him, but he understood. he had left you alone after your sudden silence, at least until he found the void-star。
after discovering the void-star, noli had paid a visit to your home. he had found where you were hiding, he wanted to show you the void-star, show you that you shouldn’t abandon him for good。。。 when he’d found you, dead by your own doing. it hurt him more than he ever imagined it would.
noli had promised himself that he’d talk it over with you once he found you again— no, if he found you again. if you even stayed with him to talk, that was. 。。if you were even still alive, & not dead from the various other killers roaming the land。。。
„ c- c- c-ome on out, wherever y- you are。。 "
noli hated how messed up his speech had become. he had no control over it, however, & was forced to stutter uncontrollably at the end of every sentence that dared to cross his corrupted lips.
clutching the bright, glowing void-star, noli trudged through the tall, irritating grass of the forsaken land. he never really was fond of nature, having grown up in an industrialised city, so these blades of grass were more of a nuisance to him than to others. they clung to his feet like creepers, nullifying his movements by a minuscule amount.
he was on the prowl again. he had caught sight of an unfortunate survivor distracted by completing a generator, & had given chase only up until the survivor managed to throw noli off their tracks for a brief moment by slashing him in the face with a sword. it didn’t do him any damage thanks to the void-star, but it had disoriented him for just long enough for the survivor to make an escape. he was now trying to catch sight of them again, but had utterly failed to do so so far.
after about twenty minutes of searching for the runaway survivor, noli finally gave up. he stopped walking, crossing his arms as he began to contemplate what to do next.
he even raised a hand up to his chin to tap a finger thoughtfully on the side of his face, a frown crossing his expression until his gaze drifted up from the ground & landed on—-
YOU!!
noli’s face immediately lit up into a broad grin, his previous look of irritation instantly vanishing from his face.
„ SEVEN!!! "
noli immediately exclaimed, his tone just about as bright as ever. he always called you that, & never by your true name—-007n7. he often said back in college that it was ‘ too much of a mouthful ‘, & apparently he still thought that.
he practically teleported over to you he ran towards you so fast, simultaneously using his void-star to blast a plasma beam at the c00lgui you were holding. he wasn’t going to have you using that to get away from him, no! not when he’d just found you again!
noli didn’t even hesitate nor hold back for a second to ask for consent before practically lunging himself onto you from behind, instantly wrapping his arms around your torso, clinging to you like a limpet.
he still had that bright grin written all over his face—-he really couldn’t have been happier at finally being reunited with you.
