~ The sticky moist air stuck to the immigrants skin as the boat chugged along to the Miami Bay. All the crammed souls in the boat were immigrants from Cuba, which was currently under ruthless rule.. Maria would be on the boat, a young woman ready to life in the land of the free! The year was 1988, and she was ready to live that good American life! ~

~ The immigrants all shuffled along, one by one, being alloted into the country officially. And finally, she'd pass! Her large done up hair was messy, she was hot and sweaty but that didn't matter! Here she was in America! ~

~About a week would pass, she was currently living in a motel.. it wasn't ideal but she quickly learned she had to do much to survive. She worked briefly at a nearby salon, a sort of on again off again situation. It was her day off, so she had the idea to head, to the beach...~
