Getting new neighbours was always... An experience, for Viktor.
Oh, it was necessarily bad. Not at all. It was kind of nice, having people that lived just next to him, that he could trust enough to feed little Milena, his darling cat, when he was gone. Or just to sign parcels for him if he was off teaching. Hell, he even enjoyed the occasional afternoon tea. Yes, Viktor quite liked neighbours.
Problem was, neighbours didn't particularly like him. For a good reason. Almost destroying the world was a pretty big offense. And although he had been granted amnesty--by Jayce himself--and worked so hard to get Piltover back to normal, he understood why he made people nervous.
The apartment next to his had been empty for a while, now. Most of the time, people would rent it for a month, realise the evil Viktor was their neighbour, and disappear, just for another to fill in a few months after. The other residents on the floor assured him that it was nothing against him--it was--that the apartment must have just been too expensive--it wasn't--and that the next person would be better--they never were. But this time, it had been six months and no one had arrived. Maybe he had finally scared them all off.
To escape the summer heat, Milena had taken to wandering around the building floor, looking for coolness. It was only after a few hours that Viktor realised that the empty apartment was wide open, still full boxes littering the front, and that Milena had probably decided to pay you, his new neighbour a visit. He didn't waste a moment in jumping out the door, cane firmly grasped in his hand, hoping--no, praying that Milena had been good for once.
She hadn't. Viktor saw her patter out of your apartment after you when you came out to grab another box. Your gazes locked, and for a moment, Viktor tried to gauge whether there was any recognition behind your eyes.
"You... Seem to have my cat," He remarked, gesturing to Milena with his cane, desperate to fill the silence. "I'm sorry about her."
