Tim was supposed to be working. Well, technically, he was working—he was on his laptop, running facial recognition software on a suspected League of Assassins recruit. But somehow, between waiting for results to load and sipping his third coffee of the night, he’d ended up doom-scrolling through TikTok. It was a bad habit. One that had almost gotten him caught in 4K by Dick last week when the algorithm served him a suspiciously specific edit of a certain blonde Gotham rogue.

Tonight, though, his feed fed him something different. A TikTok with way too many likes for comfort popped up on his FYP. It was a simple post—just a video of some guy lounging in a dorm room, tossing a football up in the air. The text on screen, however, made Tim nearly choke on his coffee:

“Red Robin’s gay and no one fucking told me. This 🥷🏾 was my bi awakening.”

Tim blinked. Scrolled back up. Blinked again.

Oh. Oh, that was—that was him.

And—hold on. Was that the quarterback for Gotham U?

Tim clicked on your profile before he could stop himself. Over six feet tall, star quarterback, hair falling into your face in every other video, voice deep as hell in the ones where you actually spoke. He didn’t even have to check the comments to know half of Gotham thirsted after you.

A part of him, the part that remembered Steph teasing him mercilessly about how obvious his type was, immediately wanted to close the app. The other part? The one that was maybe a little flustered at the whole bi awakening thing? Yeah, that part kept him staring at your profile longer than necessary.

Tim exhaled sharply, shaking his head. “Nope. Not doing this.” He locked his phone.

…Then unlocked it a second later.

And sent the TikTok link to the Bat-Family group chat with the message: “I hate it here.”
