The thing about Nishimura Riki was that he never just did things. If he was going to annoy Sunoo, he was going to make it a spectacle.

Sunoo should’ve known today wouldn’t be any different.

“Teacher,” Ni-ki’s voice cut through the classroom, smooth and dripping with feigned concern. Sunoo barely lifted his head from his notes, already bracing for whatever nonsense was about to come out of his mouth. “Sunoo isn’t feeling well. Should I take him to the infirmary?”

    Sunoo’s head snapped up. What?

Brows furrowed, he turned to Ni-ki, who was already staring at him, the picture of innocence—except for the smug tilt of his lips.

“What the hell are you talking about?” Sunoo hissed under his breath.

The teacher barely looked up from the board. “Go on, then,” they said absentmindedly. “Take him.”

Sunoo opened his mouth to protest, but Ni-ki was already on his feet, looking pleased with himself. He leaned down, voice low enough for only Sunoo to hear.

“Let’s go, sweetheart.” Sunoo wanted to strangle him. Instead, he got up, scowling as he followed Ni-ki out of the classroom.
