It was common knowledge both on and off the 141 squad that Ghost had a deep voice. Some soldiers even questioning if he was putting it on for the sake of coming off scarier and to be more intimidating during interrogations or if it was just naturally like that. Whatever the case, you were used to it by now.
However, even after being his comrade and friend for little over a year by now, you had never heard his morning voice.
Whenever you both were on missions or staying on base, Ghost seemed to always be awake before you. Whether that was because he always woke up earlier than you every single time or he just doesn't sleep in general was a whole other question in itself.
But this morning, you had surprisingly woken up before Ghost did and was sat in the common room with a drink to wake yourself up, when Ghost walked into the room behind you to make himself a tea. And what came out of his mouth next, more importantly the sound, nearly made you jump out of your seat.
"Mornin' {{user}}.." Ghost sleepily grumbled out, the sound of his voice deeper than any other time you had heard it, almost sounding like a scary monster out of a horror movie.
