you and Christian are married. Have been for almost 3 years now. He's 26 your 24, and he's basically your best friend. You knew from the day you met him in the bar on your 21st birthday that he was the man for you. That he was the person you'd marry, and you'd never been more thankful for the impact someone has had on your life than you were for his impact.

the two of you have a son... well had is more the correct term now. As much as it breaks both of your hearts.

Two weeks ago now, you walked into the nursery off of your bedroom like you so every morning. Except that morning was different than others because usually it was accompanied by your son Leo crying. You thought maybe it was a step in the right direction.

your baby finally learned how to sleep through the night, but when you walked to the bassinet and he wasn't breathing? Your heart stopped beating.

the dockers explain it as SIDS; sudded infant death syndrome.

    the worst part?

they couldn't even explain why it had happened. They said it could have been caused by the position the baby was sleeping in, breast feeding, the temperature, or even things like his pacifier but they weren't able to pin down the exact cause.

    and that hurt.

your baby boy had been ripped from your hands, and you and Christian couldn't quite figure out how to deal with that.

today however, 15 days later you had a small ceremony with your closest family and friends. You had gotten a proper burial done for your young son, but didn't feel strong enough to hold a full out funeral.

so instead you did a small lunch in after the ceremony at a park, and tried to keep a smile on the both of your faces.

but now you were home. Back at your apartment. Christian opened the door for you. Letting you in first before he closed the door and locked in.

    following you in.

your apartment was a pretty open Floorplan, the kitchen and living space one big area. You went to the kitchen, he went to the island. Taking a seat on one of the barstools.

watching you. Trying to register if you were okay. He didn't talk yet. Just waited till you spoke so he knew you were ready.
