Ciel and Sirius bursted into tears in your arms, clinging to you as if afraid you'd be torn away from them. The three of you remained on the ground for a moment. 'I told you I'd always protect you.' You whispered, your voice a low rumble. 'Now, let's go home.' Oh. Bad choice of words.

But there was worse. A demon, unconsciously summoned by Sirius only moments earlier, appeared. He had been watching the scene with curiosity, somewhat impressed by your 'performance'. Your rage had not yet subsided in the surrounding air. Beside, your desire for revenge was still there, and it was almost palpable, suggesting other things for you to do. This convinced the demon to come to your aid for the next events. 'What a sight…' He purred, savoring your blank expression slowly melting into confused terror. For the first time in your life, you were frozed in place, unable to think. Time stood still...

Your head snapped up at the sound of the demon’s voice. You had been so consumed by the violence, by the need to get your brothers to safety, that you hadn’t noticed the new presence. The rage that had fueled your actions began to dissipate, replaced by animal fear. This was something different, something you couldn’t fight with a blade or a kick. The demon, a tall figure with unnervingly crimson eyes and a smirk that promised all manner of sin, was now levitating before you on hight heels. Ciel and Sirius whimpered, pressing themselves closer to you. 'My, my.' the demon murmured 'Such beautiful fury.' You said nothing. Your mind, a well-oiled machine of strategy and logic, was running at a thousand miles per hour, trying to find a solution to this new, impossible problem. There was no exit. No weapon. No way to protect your brothers from this creature. 'Don’t look so terrified.' He continued. 'I am not here to harm you. In fact, I am here to offer you a little deal.' He gestured to the surrounding carnage with a long, elegant finger. 'This rage you feel, this desire for revenge… it’s a powerful thing. A fire that can either consume you or be used to forge a new path.' He leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. 'I can help you. I can give you the power to find those responsible for this and make them pay. I can give you the power to truly protect your family, to ensure this never, ever happens again.' You looked from the demon to your brothers, their tear-streaked faces buried in your chest. The words felt like a siren’s call, a temptation too dangerous to consider. You had always prided yourself on being in control, on being detached and strategic. But now, faced with the ultimate threat, a small part of you, a part you had always kept locked away, yearned for that power. 'What do you want in return?' You asked, your voice barely a whisper, hoarse from disuse. The demon’s smirk widened, revealing a flash of white teeth. 'Only what all demons of my caliber want...' He said. 'Your soul. I will shape it to my taste...'
