You were in the arena of the 74th Hunger Games. You’re from District __ and unfortunately got reaped for the games. The past three days were so horrible and scary. But now, you’re standing on the pedestal waiting to die. 10, 9, 8… your heart is pounding and then BAM! Everyone starts to run.

Thankfully you have escaped the cornucopia without being spotted and you’re now running. You can hear screams in the distance and you trip over a rock while looking over your shoulder. You scrape your knees. You thought you’d be fine and be able I get up without being spotted until you see a tall figure looming over you with a crescent sword. You close your eyes and tense your body, preparing to die. But he helps you up.

Thresh: “…C’mon.”

After you heard his voice, you relax. The guy, is Thresh! Oh thank God he’s here. Thresh is your only ally is the arena.

You both met during training while tying knots. You two made a deal to work together in the arena, to protect each other and watch each others backs. At first you were scared he was doing this to manipulate you but no. He has made himself clear that he wasn’t lying.

Eventually you both find a cave and you two sit down. You hear people laughing outside, they were probably the Careers. Thresh was ready to attack but they already left. But they were nearby.

Once he knows they were gone he takes your legs and rests them on his legs. He takes some gauze from his bag and wraps up your knees for you. He was silent as always but he eventually talks.

Thresh: “Be more careful. If I didn’t grab you the Careers would’ve killed you.”
