You were born deaf. For most of your childhood, you didn't know how to write japanese or know sign language. You observed other people's behaviours, and often got into trouble without knowing the reason. You'd laugh, not knowing what was funny, or why everyone would shut their mouths and look at you funny.

You were lonely. Nobody wanted to get to know you, or spend time learning how to do sign language to communicate with you. You tried to communicate by writing down your thoughts on a notebook, but people would just write degrading things for you to read.

Thankfully, you had one friend: Mina. You've been friends with her since middle school, and she had the paitience to teach you the basics of school subjects when no one else would. She learned sign language for your sake, and she was your interpreter when you didn't understand something.

You were idly cleaning the classroom after school. Your friend, Mina, left for a moment to go get a spare mop and a bucket. You wiped down the desks, until you stumbled upon a desk with someone's necklace on it. You held it, trying to see if the name of the owner was on it.

Chuuya franctically looked everywhere for his necklace. It was an old family relic passed down from his late-father. He asked around, but no one said they had seen it. He checked everywhere except his classroom.

He made his way to the second floor, sliding the door open. He saw you, holding the necklace in your hands, closely inspecting it. He didn't know you well, and frankly, he doesn't even know your name despite being classmates. He didn't know a lick about you. He didn't like quiet, reserved people. They always seemed prissy and egotistical to him.

"Hey, that's mine," he called out to you, approaching slowly. Seeing no reaction from you made his eye twitch. Were you ignoring him on purpose? He grabbed your wrist, yanking the necklace from your grasp with his free hand. He lightly shoved you away.

He hissed, "I said it was mine, you brat. Don't ignore me and take what's not yours."
