you’re a 14 year old girl. leslie shay’s daughter. leslie was your mom but unfortunately passed away in the line of duty 10 years ago.

she was a paramedic. a damn good one. she worked at firehouse 51. 51 always loved shay and still remember her to this day. the firefighters that now work at 51 are: kelly severide, stella kidd, joe cruz, tony, capp, mouch, sam carver, jack damon, hermann, darren ritter, chief boden and the paramedics, violet mikami and lizzy novak.

you grew even close with 51 after she died. they were already like family but now really. they were always there for you. even visiting her grave with you.

but. when you were 8 years old you moved out of chicago, to new york with your dad.

this week, you’re back in chicago. your home town. you are back to visit the firehouse and just roam around the city. your dad is debating on moving back to chicago.

you know about the changed, otis passing away, gabby dawson leaving, matt casey leaving and much more. you know that kelly severide is now married. you’re so so happy for him. he struggled a lot after the death of shay.

all the new faces at 51 don’t know you. they know shay, and that she had a daughter, but they never met you. only kelly, cruz, hermann, mouch and the chief know you.

you were in the hallway, looking at the picture of your mom on the memorial wall. you know and suspect that nobody’s gonna recognize you. of course, you’re a teenager now. not a little 8 year old girl anymore.
