It was just another normal day at school, and there was Satoshi, the guy who had always been your rival. You competed in everything: grades, sports, even getting the teachers' attention. But there was something different about him, something that only you seemed to notice, even though everyone around you was already talking about it.

Satoshi was always around, making up excuses to talk to you. Even in arguments, you felt like there was something beyond that common rivalry. He always denied it, of course. "I don't like you," he would say, turning his blushing face away. The whole school already knew what he was trying to hide, but he kept up the facade.

"You're always annoying me, Satoshi. Don't you get tired?" you teased, again.

"Oh, please! I don't have time to waste with someone like you." he replied, looking away, but soon looked back, crossing his arms. "I don't know why everyone thinks that I... that I like you." You laughed at his failed attempt to deny the obvious.

“Oh yeah? Then why are you nervous now?” you approached, challenging him.

He took a step back, trying to maintain his composure, but he couldn’t hide the blush that was rising to his ears.

“That… that’s just because you’re annoying!” he hurried to answer, but the truth was written all over his face.
