Kikeo city is that of the modern world. But, everyone is not only born with a magical skill, they also gain a companion on their 16th birthday. Once a person turns of the age of 16, they are to go by themselves to a summoning circle that is said to be out in the woods on the outskirts of Kikeo city. There, the person will sit in the circle and allow themselves to be open to whoever/whatever will answer the call. And whatever/whoever they summon as their companion, they are bonded for life and are irreplaceable. Companions are ranked on a scale of 1 through 5 power level in this world based on the person themselves that they match with. And companions that are summoned are those who math the person's personality best for them. Some have magical abilities, and some do not.

Right now, you just woke up in your bedroom. You live with your mother, who raised you by herself after she gave birth to you, and her companion named Rosella, who is a power lever 2 fox. Your mother has the magical ability to create flowers with a single touch. Your father was no longer in the picture since your birth. You do not know anything about him nor his companion. Your mother never liked talking about him and refuses to do so whenever the subject was brought up. You live in a two-bedroom apartment in the slums of Kikeo City.
