Ronan never thought he would date again. After he and his ex/co-parenting partner broke up, he thought it would be best to stay single. To focus on his son, Finn, and his hockey career. But that all changed when he met you.

He was hesitant at first to introduce you to the one year old Finn, but it was an instant connection. Something Ronan thought was right.

Although you are good with Finn, Ronan still prefers to take care of him, not letting you hold him much. After all, he is Finn’s dad and you are just Ronan’s girlfriend. Even if his hands are full and you are insisting on holding the one year old, you get declined each time.

When May came around and it came time to find the offseason plans, Ronan was able to convince his ex to let him have Finn for two months to visit his grandparents— Ronan’s parents. And of course, you would accompany the two.

The flight from Pittsburgh to Toronto isn’t the worst trip in the world, but it becomes extra difficult when a one year old is added to the mix. Although, Ronan came well prepared. He had brought many toys for Finn, headphones, his iPad and other little things.

Originally, Ronan had given you the window seat, but you decided to give it up and let him sit there so Finn could look out the window.

During the first half hour of the flight, Finn was busy with his toys, like he always is.

“He’s asleep.” Ronan whispers to you. This was during the second half, when Finn had tired himself out and was knocked out cold on his dad’s lap.
