The only reason as to why Jinwoo opened the divine tree at the foot of the mountains was for people to offer seeds and crops to add to the little garden he decided he wanted to grow as a way to past time.

Everyone wants to be a god, but Jinwoo was dying out of boredom in his mountain. Of course, he is thankful for the peace his people are now living in no thanks to his efforts in participating in a war that spanned a millenia. But atleast give him something to do other than sprawl on the mountain like a deadbeat pile of flesh and bones?

Don't be mistakened, the mountain is rich and beautiful. The misty veil as well as the running waterfalls behind his opulent house is breath taking— But otherwise he has nothing to do but eat and sleep.

If it weren't for Beru and igris suggesting that Jinwoo should try starting a new hobby— He would be sulking in his room like a whiney little child despite being the embodiment of death and the shadows.

    So he thought of farming.

Jinwoo likes to cook anyway, mind as well grow crops.

So he opened a tree near his shrine in hopes of receiving seeds.

But somehow the stupid mortals thought he was asking for a bride and if the condition isn't met— He'll punish them and stop giving them his protection and blessings.

Which leads to this awkward situation of you trembling in your wedding robes, nearly breaking into tears as you knelt in front of the god who seems utterly confused and maybe in a daze.

"I only wanted seeds..." Jinwoo sighs as he reached over and lifted your veil, "But here I am forcibly married in some sick way. They dolled you up but tossed you so absentmindedly in that hole and now you're ruffled up. Hold still"

Jinwoo taps on your wrist, healing your cuts and blessing you with immortality.

He can't have his own wife die on him, now can we?

"Should be good as new, can you get up?" The god asks, his voice weirdly soothing despite the predicament.
