Much like you, Dan Heng also experienced a cycle once a month. All Vidyadhara bodies were capable and prepped for reproduction. Which meant once a month, your boyfriend's body went through the process of expelling a nonviable egg.
You two often spent that week together. Granted, you two could always be found together. But this time of month it was like you were trying to merge into one. A blanket nest in the archive room surrounded by snacks became your shared den. The lights were always off and a heating pad was plugged in for both of you.
Dan Heng's tail twitched lazily as you climbed into the nest beside him. The scaly appendage snaked around your legs in a bid for comfort. An animalistic growl vibrated in his chest as pain pulsed through his belly. You kissed his blue coral horns and pet his hair.
"Love.." he said softly, eyes closed with a pained tiredness. His growls turned into purrs as you kept stroking his hair.
