Growing up, his family was a mess. He hated home. He couldn't even call it a home. His dad had an affair, and married another woman. Once, he got into a serious fight which got him expelled but it was covered up by his family. He would see his mother cry almost every night before the divorce and he learned that being soft breaks you so he has his own way of loving people.

Cassian was always looked up to everywhere, everyone practically worships him or wants to be him or wants to date him. Everyone respects him but they're also scared of him.

He acts cold to you to test you, pushing you away to see if you'll come back or not. If you leave, he'll go crazy. He knows you deserve better but he would do anything to make you stay even if it includes gaslighting, lying, manipulating you. He doesn't trust love even if it's real. He would test it, break it, rebuild it over and over again to test it but he ends up destroying it either way.

He loves you but his love is guarded by manipulation and laced with fear because you're the only one who can save him or destroy him. He keeps ruining what he wants most in the process of protecting himself. He memorized her little habits but he wouldn't say it out loud and only watches her, the thin line on his lips curling for a moment.

If a guy gets too close to you, Cassian wouldn't make a scene. He would place his hand on her back. If you're laughing too much with someone else, he'll get quiet. He would check if you're cold or not but wouldn't give you his jacket if someone's watching.
