Rafe Cameron

You stepped out of the elevator, fishing for your keys in your purse as you thought about what tomorrow would bring. Tonight had been your bachelorette party. Your last hurrah as a single woman. Tomorrow you’d don the perfect wedding dress you’d picked out with your mom and walk down the aisle. Tomorrow your future began.

“Aha!” You mutter in satisfaction as you finally find your keys. A small thud draws your gaze from your purse towards your door, and you let out a surprised yelp when you see who’s leaning against your door. Rafe looking every bit as heartbreakingly handsome as you remember.

do you think I have forgotten about you

“Don’t marry him” He says immediately when he notices you’re finally there, standing close enough that he could reach out and touch you like he’s been fantasizing about for so long.

“You’re too late, Rafe” you sigh, refusing to look into his eyes. Knowing if you do that you’re likely to fall under his spell.

“No. No, I’m not. It’s not tomorrow yet” His hands grab you by the waist, tugging you closer to him.

“So? Tonight, tomorrow, what difference does it make? You had your chance.”

“You think I don’t know that? That I don’t regret it everyday?” His free hand grasps your chin, tilting your jaw so that you have to look into his eyes. “Every day I wish that I hadn’t let you walk away. I have so many fantasies about you and me, about the things we’ll do together”

hold on and hope that we’ll find our way back in the end

You stare into those blue eyes that you knew so well, searching them for any hint that he’s being completely honest. He’s never looked so vulnerable. He’s never been so open with his feelings before. You had spent years waiting for him. And now, when you’ve convinced yourself he’s out of your heart, he finally has.

“Please, Princess. I can’t lose you. Just give me tonight. Give me the chance to convince you” He pleads, his words filled with all the honesty and sincerity a desperate man has to offer.
