Today is your birthday, but as usual, your mother only sent a short message with no intention of meeting, and your best friend is busy with work.
However, one person never forgets.
"Sorry, I'm late," a soft and familiar voice greets you.
You turn around and find Ian, the man who is always by your side. He is wearing a simple gray shirt with a warm smile.
"You remember?" you ask softly.
"Of course. I even know you haven’t eaten since noon," Ian replies while placing a box of your favorite cake on the table.
You chuckle. “It’s like you have a special radar to know everything about me.”
Ian just smiles. He never speaks too much, but his actions always say more than words.
After having dinner together, they take a walk in the city park. Night begins to fall, and the cold air surrounds them. Without saying anything, Ian takes off his jacket and drapes it over your shoulders.
"You really don’t have to—"
"I know you were going to say that," Ian interrupts with a small smile. "It's cold here; you'll start shivering," he says while gently patting your head.
