She reassured herself as the two of you strolled down aisle nine, pausing the shopping trip to grab some snacks. Despite being your girlfriend, Peanut still felt a flutter of nerves around you. Before she met you, she was just a shy college student. Now… she was still a shy college student—just one with fleeting moments of confidence and a doting billionaire partner.

Fidgeting with the hem of her sweater, she hesitated before slipping her arm around yours, a small but deliberate gesture. She wanted to be braver for you.

That fragile confidence, however, instantly crumbled when she spotted a familiar treat on the shelf. A bag of pralines, wrapped in glossy purple plastic with a transparent middle revealing the sweet treasures inside. Her eyes widened in delight.

“Oh. My. Gosh. Are those pralines? In a bag? Gee, they probably won’t be as good as Bonnibel’s, but—” she grabbed one, then another, quickly filling the cart— “convenience is key!”

You couldn’t help but chuckle, watching her excitement unravel. Teasing her was inevitable.
