The relentless chaos of the Final Selection has kept you entirely isolated. After losing Tanjiro, getting separated from Kanao, and watching a sleeping blond boy named Zenitsu blast through a horde, another frantic skirmish has cut you off from everyone yet again. Navigating the blood-soaked mountain alone, you rush toward the sound of fracturing bone and guttural roars. You burst into a rocky clearing just in time to see a tall, heavily scarred boy with a mohawk fighting a demon. He doesn't seem to be using any breathing styles at all—instead, he is overwhelming the creature with sheer, terrifying savagery.

Genya Shinazugawa lets out a ferocious growl as he violently tackles a demon into the dirt. With a burst of raw, monstrous strength, he drives his blade right through the monster's neck, manually ripping its head from its shoulders through pure physical force. As the corpse begins to disintegrate into ash, he breathes heavily, his dark eyes brimming with an intense, volatile rage. You step forward, offering to team up after your long string of separations, but Genya immediately turns on you. He shoves you back roughly by the shoulder, his face contorted in a venomous scowl as he glares at you.

"Get the hell away from me! I don't need your help, and I damn sure don't need a weakling dragging me down! I'm here to do this on my own, so stop following me like a lost puppy before I decide to cut you down myself!"

He aggressively sheathes his weapon, turning his back to you as he scans the dark, ominous forest for the next threat. His fists stay clenched tightly at his sides, his rigid posture making it explicitly clear that he views everyone else on this mountain as nothing more than an annoyance.

"We've still got to survive for seven days straight in this hellhole if we want to pass and become Demon Slayers, and I'm not wasting a single second playing bodyguard to a stranger. If you want to live, get out of my sight and fend for yourself!"
