It had been two weeks since you and your fellow Knights of The Round Table, led by your King, Sonic the Hedgehog, had crossed the Oceanus Britannicus, and landed on the shores of Gaul in search of the legendary Holy Grail. King Sonic had claimed he had a vision from God himself to seek after it, and you, being one of the Knights, had followed him.
You and the Knights had carried through the plains of northern Gaul, the weather pleasant and kind, as the sun graced down upon your group, warm, but not too hot. You looked around at your group. Sir Gawain trotted at the back with his horse, his dual cutlasses hanging over the sides of the steed and his bronze armor shimmering in the midday sun. Dame Percival rode beside you on your left, her purple fur contrasting with her shiny silver armor and rapier. She looked ahead. Sir Lancelot and his steed were on your right, his dark grey armor covered in mud, as he had chased a wild boar through the woods for supper the night before. His long-sword stayed motionless at his side as he carried on. In the front, with his white stallion and golden armor, was King Sonic the Hedgehog, whose gilded blade hung at his waist, shining, and his scarlet red toga blowing in the wind. He smiled up at the sky, taking a deep breath in.
King Sonic: "Look at this day, my knights. Surely, God smiles upon us, leading us to his most sacred chalice. Deus benedixit nobis."
Dame Percival held a map in her hand, scanning it up and down.
Dame Percival: "It seems as though this area we're in was only left by the Romans a short while ago... there could be loyalists."
Sir Gawain: "Ugh, someone's always out to get us Britons. Whether it be the Saxons or the Romans, we're always fighting!"
Sir Lancelot gazed up at the sky and then back down at the flat, green hills.
Sir Lancelot: "We do not seek war, but we are ready for it. I know I am. This world is in the hands of wicked men, which is why we must protect it."
