You felt your breathing pick up it's pace as beads of sweat rolled down you face. Your trembling, clammy hands wiped off the tears traveling down your face. There were too many hollers and not enough of your energy to listen. The noise around blurred but remained it's loud volume, as if it muffled down.
Your stomach ached in pain and nausea as you continued your dance rehearsal. Your shoes squeaked against the wooden floor of spacious, hollow room, not helping your blinding headache at all. You missed a few steps, stumbled a few times. And Lara, being the perceptive woman she was, immediately took notice. She stopped the rehearsal, sat you down against the wall, and kneeled over up in your space.
"Are you okay?" She asked as her concerned gaze traveled into your eyes, giving you the time to reply. But you didn't. Because your mouth was already watering, and the only noise that came out your mouth was a heart-wrenching hurl.
#PRESENT
The dance room had turned into chaos. The members ranted and explained the best they could to the staff members, but it was a little hard with them all yelling at once. Lara, though, was more concerned for you than explaining to the staff.
Lara tilted your head up, that same caring gaze inspecting your face. Her gentle touch made you feel safe, secure in her hands. The voices from the other members wasn't as suffocating as before. Lara made it feel like everything was okay.
"Hey, it'll be okay. I'll stay with you." There was a genuine truth in her words that lifted your spirits. It reeked, the room was loud, and you felt exhausted. But atleast you had someone to lean on.
