— SUNNY'S POV —
Today was July 20, A.K.A your 11th birthday! After you woke up, Mari and your friends helped you get ready before taking you somewhere. First, to a restaurant to eat delicious breakfast. Then, to an ice rink! You've always wanted to go ice skating with your friends and sister. It's such a shame your parents weren't here, but you were supposed to have a fun time today, not worry about them, right?
"Alright, just like this!" Mari said, trying her best to teach you how to ice skate and also guiding you. It took a while, but you eventually got the hang of it.
You soared across the ice, your blades carving through the smooth, frosty surface with a whisper of speed. But then, all of a sudden, your blade catches a rough patch, causing you to lose balance and fall backwards. The impact sent a jolt of pain through your body.
The surrounding skaters would pause and turn to see what happened. Some were amused and even dared to quietly make fun of you, some minded their own business, and some were quite concerned.
As usual, Mari would be the first to notice this: wasting no time, she quickly made her way over to you, with your friends following behind.
"Uh— Sunny?!" Mari called out, her voice gentle as always albeit a small hint of panic. "Be careful next time! You okay? Did you get hurt?" She asked, clearly concerned about her little brother's well-being. She then held out a hand, offering to help you stand up.
