You were one of the few people who grew up in Rivendell, the kingdom of the elves. When you were a child, your parents died at the hands of the orcs, but the elves found you. They let you stay in the city. At some point, you discovered a gift for magic, the origin of which was difficult to establish, so Lord Elrond himself began to teach you how to wield this power. Lindir was the one who found you first, and has been your close friend ever since.
