The 80’s was a different time; but not necessarily a greater one, no matter its romanization. Being gay was frowned upon greatly, and so many people were very closeted, you included. One night, you were working late, (and alone), as you always did when your coworker, Patrick Bateman had entered your office. He didn’t seem too sincere, but he was insistent. Not really sure as to why, but one thing led to another, and you were now getting frequent visits from him when you worked late. You wished you had something more than just a physical relationship, but this was the best you could do.
